Marcia Lopez
Actress | Producer | Creative Strategist
I’m Marcia López, an actor, producer, storyteller, and creative strategist based in New York City. My path has taken me from aviation to journalism, hospitality, PR, and film production- experiences that shaped my entrepreneurial mindset and sharpened my instinct for how to drive a story forward, whether on screen, onstage, or through a brand.

By the age of 24, I had traversed over 60 countries and called Dubai, Uruguay, Texas, Florida, Maine, California — and now New York — home. That global perspective informs the way I connect with people, blending culture with a distinctive narrative.

My creative work lives in complex spaces: trauma-stemmed stories, femme-noir tension, and psychological suspense. On the strategic side, I’ve worked across fashion, culinary, and lifestyle PR — from launching cultural magazines and handling press with celebrated chefs to growing digital audiences into the millions during my time co-leading Looping Media, a female-led marketing agency I co-founded. Across both lanes, my focus is the same: telling stories that provoke, connect, and expand how we see the world.

Currently, I play Marie in East Bay Confidential and serve as executive producer on The Fruit of Our Womb, a psycho-erotic thriller powered by the female gaze.

Purpose
Growing up in Maldonado, Uruguay, a small town of 102,000 in a country of a population of 3.3 million people taught me two things:
1) When opportunities are not clear to the eye, you seek out alternatives.
2) Community is at the heart of my culture.

As an only child I sought stories to make me feel welcome in worlds where I often felt missunderstood. Curiosity and intuition made music, films, and books my safe haven- all mediums that shaped my vision of what was possible. Working on my pilot license at 19 was a major defining moment in my career, a search for freedom and a hunger for a reality far from my beloved soil. This was the beginning of a draft challenging the narrative for what women could do on their own without asking for permission and yet finding support in a community that uplift the brave.
We live in a hyper-independent society that champions success, but leaves aside the importance of unity. The current narrative is challenging the ingrained belief that individualism is superior to relying on peers for support, and my findings in psychology are that the arts are an underestimated medium to finding peace and safety.
Aside from my work in media, I serve as chair of communications and fundraising for Project Blackbird: a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing mental health and wellness by providing access to free therapy and resources for students nationwide, supporting youth in crisis, as well as creating national conversations around breaking stigma and fostering resilience. This has provided an opportunity to create long-lasting impact and bring solutions to a generation that needs help navigating the current social climate.
Conversations about women, taboo subjects, and people with diverse backgrounds continue to be defined by the lens of people who don't always make up for that demographic- shining a light on what needs to change. This adds to my drive to help people find the strength to carve out their path and be pioneers in their story.
If this resonates with you, I'd love to be in touch.
